PBA helped secure planning permission for the London Taxi Corporation (LTC) for a new £250m research, development and assembly facility.
LTC aims to launch the next generation of the iconic London taxi by 2018 - an advanced technology, zero-emission, extended range electric model, with the same recognizable shape of London’s black cabs. It's the first car production facility for more than 15 years in the UK and it will be used to create the next generation 'green' black cab. Up to 1,000 new jobs will be created with a further 500 in the supply chain.
PBA provided strategic planning advice and led the planning submission and all negotiations with the local planning authority. We arranged a series of community consultation events with local resident groups and the parish councils and ensured, where possible, their reasonable concerns were addressed as part of the planning submission. The planning submission as made in December 2014 and PBA secured full planning consent in late February 2015.
