Matthew joined the Cambridge office in January 2019. He has over 20 years of experience in the transport sector, specialising in the preparation and management of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans for a variety of developments. He studied at University College London and Imperial College London and is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
He works closely with clients on the preparation of transport and accessibility advice for development proposals, including transport reports to accompany planning applications, proofs of evidence for local development plan inquiries, and Masterplanning. He negotiates with local highway authorities on the type and scale of transport improvements to mitigate development impacts.
Matthew has extensive experience in the assessment of a range of development schemes across the south and east of England, including technical transport modelling of development proposals, assessment of site access and accessibility, liaison with key stakeholders and preparation for and attendance at public exhibitions.
