Kevin has been with Peter Brett Associates since 2002 and leads the Building Structures team in Reading. His career began in the construction industry working for a local authority as a technician and draftsman within the infrastructure and highways department, after which he attended Oxford Brookes University where he obtained a first-class Civil Engineering degree.
Kevin is a competent structural engineer and multidisciplinary project manager, with a broad knowledge of buildings design. He has extensive experience in the use of concrete, steel, timber and masonry, as well as modern methods of construction techniques such as off-site volumetric and panelised/hybrid systems that have been promoted on several of his projects to achieve reductions in construction time and enhancements to the sustainability aspects of the developments.
Kevin leads projects for both private and public sector clients, as well as directly for contractors. His professional experience in different forms of construction and his understanding of the pricing, sequencing and specific constraints associated with differing clients and procurement routes enables him to add significant value to projects from the start.
Kevin’s project experience encompasses the residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare and education sectors, including award winning projects such as Les Beaucamps High School in Guernsey, Kingston University’s John Galsworthy Building, and The Curve library and cultural centre in Slough.
