Harriet joined in 2019 as Director of Transport for the North and has considerable experience of Land Development Planning and Masterplanning with a solid understanding of property development, whilst specifically focussing on the transport and movements aspects. Harriet has a wide range of project experience which includes the education, residential, retail, commercial, leisure and mixed-use sectors and promotion of strategic land throughout the planning process.
Large scale development projects include the development of a public realm strategy within Sheffield City Centre for the University of Sheffield developed alongside, and in conjunction with, the development of a transport strategy which complemented the Masterplan principles, enhancing pedestrian routes and encouraging the use of bicycles and public transport. Harriet has extensive experience within the distribution and logistics sector having carried out many due diligence assessments, in terms of highways and transportation, for many sites within both the UK and continental Europe.
Harriet has previously worked for AECOM where she held a national role within Transportation, she has however been involved in the Leeds property market for over 20 years where she started her career as a Consultant with the Leeds office of Steer Davies Gleave. She brings enthusiasm and passion to her work and projects and is committed to delivering the best for clients. A people person, Harriet considers that technical excellence combined with efficient and effective stakeholder contact between all parties is of paramount importance and always strives to maintain that.
