David joined PBA in 1986 and is now a Director. He is a specialist in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering, waste management, environmental assessment and energy consultancy in the UK and overseas. He established the Practice’s geotechnical, contaminated land and waste management groups in 1986.
David has worked extensively on the regeneration of poor quality despoiled land associated with quarries, brownfield sites and landfills for residential, mixed use, commercial, industrial and eco town projects. He has also led projects for rail, road and energy. Key projects include Hampton Township, Peterborough, Marston Vale ecotown, Rookery South and DIRFT III. Overseas projects in Egypt, Hong Kong, Sudan, Turkey and continental Europe have included coal and gas power stations, open and underground coal mines for the World Bank, offshore platforms for the oil industry, business parks and residential schemes.
David has been an expert witness in litigation and public inquiries for building failures, integrated waste facilities, slope instability and gravel extraction.
