PBA and DLA to produce the vision for Bury St Edmunds

22 December 2016

Bury St Edmonds  PBA, alongside David Lock Associates, has been appointed by a Working Group to produce a masterplan for Bury St Edmunds town centre.

The Bury St Edmunds Town Centre Working Group, made up representatives from three local councils, Our Bury St Edmunds Business Improvement District, the Bury Chamber of Commerce, Bury Market Liaison Group, the Bury Society, and the Bury Town Trust approved the masterplan.

The first stage of work on the Bury masterplan will see PBA and DLA prepare an issues and options report, highlighting present and potential challenges for the town, along with possible solutions.

The document is expected to go to consultation next spring, with a more detailed plan published in the summer.

PBA’s Mark Brenton, Equity Director, Cambridge, said: 'We are thrilled to have been appointed alongside David Lock Associates to work on the vision for Bury St Edmunds. PBA takes town centre regeneration very seriously, and using our expertise in this area we will work hard to produce a masterplan that will benefit all.'
