UK – PBA, now part of Stantec, is proud to have supported Jackson Civil Engineering, in being awarded the Environment Agency (EA) - Next Generation Supplier Arrangement Framework Lot 2 to deliver the flood and coastal erosion risk management capital programme for Collaborative Delivery Units in Area D, which covers Central England.
This next generation supplier arrangement model is based on a more collaborative approach to delivering the EA’s capital improvement programme. Jackson has extended this approach throughout their full integrated supply chain, which PBA are part of. The new framework will replace the EA’s current Water and Environment Management framework and will initially run for four years.
This new approach places the responsibility of delivering the work programme into the hands of just two companies in each region: one consultancy under a ‘professional services’ lot, and one contractor under ‘programme delivery’ lot.
These companies, with the EA, will decide how best to deliver the capital improvement programme on time and on budget. In many ways, this approach follows the alliance frameworks used by the UK water industry to deliver their five-year asset management plans.
PBA's Framework Supplier Service Manager, Chris Downs, said:
“We see this as a great opportunity to use our wealth of EA experience supporting Jackson’s proactive membership of this integrated team between EA and their suppliers, which will decide how best to plan and undertake the delivery of their capital programme, helping to address the increasing level of flood risk in England.”
