Flood risk assessments are currently required in accordance with the NPPF and have been a key planning document since the release of PPG 25 in 2001. They also provide an evidence base for managing assets and critical infrastructure.
PBA is a leader in this area, having completed over 2,500 flood risk assessments. These cover a wide range of developments from large commercial and industrial premises to the redevelopment of small agricultural buildings and dwellings – including a 20,000 home ‘eco-town’, leisure parks, hotel chains and energy plants.
The vast majority of the planning applications we assess are successful. Our team always strives to improve proposals and create a scheme that meets the needs of the developer, while satisfying the requirements of the Environment Agency. Our record of success at public inquiry is testament to the robustness of our evidence and our in-depth knowledge of the legislation.
