A development team led by PBA’s Manchester office secured planning permission in 2016 for 172 homes across two sites in Hulme on behalf of community development organisation One Manchester.
The Royce Road scheme provides 67 apartments, and the Leaf Street development comprises a mixture of 105 apartments and town houses. Both developments are under construction with completion due later in 2017.
These are the first private rented sector new-build schemes for One Manchester since it was formed in 2015 and will be branded ‘Hulme Living’. In approving the applications Manchester City Council recognised that the schemes would provide a greater mix of private sector dwellings, would boost housing supply and contribute towards meeting Manchester’s planned housing requirement. One Manchester as a social housing provider will reinvest any proceeds from these schemes into future schemes within Manchester.
