In February 2015, PBA led a team to secure outline planning permission for 300 new homes in Standish, Wigan.
We acted for Bloor Homes and worked collaboratively with the Council to secure permission, which also involved joint-working with Wainhomes on an adjacent site to deliver a further 300 dwellings.
We initially appeared at the Examination of the Core Strategy and convinced the appointed Planning Inspector that there was a need to identify further land in Standish to meet housing needs. The Inspector agreed and our client’s site was identified in the Core Strategy as a ‘Broad Location for Housing’.
The PBA-led team then worked up an outline planning application which was supported by an EIA. Overcoming concerns regarding highways impact was critical to the success of the planning application.
"PBA has worked closely with us on a number of projects now, they consistently impress us with the collaborative and thorough way in which they work to overcome concerns and get successful planning outcomes. I would readily recommend their services."
