Stuart joined Peter Brett Associates in 2012 and is a leader within the mechanical and electrical services sector as well as helping to shape the environmental design consultancy service offered by the Practice. He has also been instrumental in establishing a cutting edge BIM team in recognition of the future demand for 3D collaboration in design.
Stuart is an energy engineer and sustainability specialist. He was involved in pioneering approaches to carbon emission evaluation of buildings before the current legislative emphasis and low energy sustainable design. He has been responsible for the services concept, design management and project delivery of a number of large, prestigious and award winning energy efficient buildings.
He has extensive experience of low energy buildings, is an accredited Passivhaus designer and works hard to promote passive low energy design approaches for buildings to minimise energy demand. Stuart has a practical understanding of energy systems and design and is extensively involved in energy master planning and district heating/CHP appraisals for large regeneration projects in and around London.
Stuart and his team provide initial concept advice on low carbon and energy master planning of developments where it is essential to integrate the right strategies from inception through to implementation.
