Dougie leads PBA's Scottish Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Planning, Development and Economics, Buildings and Environment business. He also plays a leading role within PBA's transport consultancy across the UK. He holds a BEng in Transportation Engineering from Napier University and he completed the Advanced Management Programme at Henley Management College.
Dougie has extensive experience managing or directing multi-disciplinary projects and Frameworks and Term Contracts, particularly where civil engineering, planning and environment disciplines are involved, and is also skilled at project planning, budget management, economic appraisal and public and stakeholder consultation.
He has been very involved with the Glasgow and Clyde Valley City Deal, overseeing PBA’s work on the Strategic Business Case for the Strathclyde Bus Project and leading our work for West Dunbartonshire Council’s City Deal project – the development of the Exxon site at Bowling, a challenging multi-disciplinary project with capital works likely to be around £28m.
Dougie is a Member of the CIHT Scotland Branch Committee, the Scottish Policy Forum and the Transport Planning Qualification Professional Standards Committee.
