ICE President visits PBA to discuss engineering in a digital future

29 June 2017

Ashford – PBA is honoured to have welcomed ICE President, Professor Tim Broyd, to its Ashford office to discuss the future of engineering in the digital age.

Professor Broyd was greeted by PBA Partner Tony Wake who provided a tour of the offices and introduced members of staff who engaged in lively discussion and provided an overview of current PBA projects.

The tour was followed by a presentation from PBA Director of Civil Engineering, Paul Hill, entitled ‘PBA - evolution of BIM in infrastructure.’ This topic is of particular interest for Professor Broyd, whose theme for his Presidential year is ‘Engineering a Digital Future’.

The visit to PBA was part of a two-day tour of the South East for Professor Broyd, which also included visits to the Dover Western Dock Revival, Mid Kent College and the Rochester Bridge Trust.
